Wedding souvenir stall for the sangeet and the reception

A favour guests keep, made in front of them during the function.

Usually the Wedding package

At a wedding in Chandigarh — tap to play with sound

The gap between the ceremony and dinner is the hardest part of a wedding evening to fill. Guests have arrived, greeted whoever they came to greet, and are now standing around waiting to be fed. A live stall fills exactly that gap: it gives people somewhere to go, something to watch, and something to take home. Sangeets are the other natural slot, because the stall competes with nothing — people drift over between dances, and the queue itself becomes part of the room.

Why it works here

  • The favour problem solves itself

No boxes to buy, count, store or hand out. Guests collect their own, personalised, at the stall.

  • It fills the waiting hour

Booked for the slot between the ceremony and dinner, when there is otherwise nothing happening.

  • Guests keep it

A magnet goes onto a fridge door. Unlike a box of sweets, it is still there next year.

  • It photographs well

The queue, the counter and the handover all give your photographer something to shoot.

Planning notes

  • Place the stall where guests already walk — near the bar or the entrance to the dining area, not in a corner.
  • Three hours covers a standard reception. A sangeet usually needs two.
  • Tell us the guest count honestly. Under-booking the magnet count is the one thing that makes a stall look bad.
  • We need the venue floor 90 minutes before your guest entry time.

Stalls that suit this

From events like yours

  • A man and a woman holding up the caricature just drawn of the two of them, at an outdoor function under a pink patterned canopy
  • A crew member assembling a photo magnet at the stall counter

Questions we get asked

What is the best stall for a wedding?

It depends almost entirely on guest count. Above 300 guests a magnet stall is the only one that reaches most of the room, at 60–70 an hour per artist. Below 150, a caricature artist reaches a similar share and holds a crowd while doing it.

What is the best wedding favour for guests?

The one with a place to live. A magnet goes on a fridge door and is still there a year later; a box of sweets is gone in three days and a trinket goes in a drawer. Personalised beats branded, because a guest keeps their own face, not your monogram.

What is a live fridge magnet stall?

A small counter set up at your venue with a camera, a printer and a press. Guests are photographed, the picture is printed and mounted onto a magnet in front of them, and they walk away holding it about ninety seconds later.

What are some fun activities for guests at a wedding?

Anything with a visible outcome beats anything that has to be organised. A live stall, a caricature artist or a staffed candy counter each give guests somewhere to walk to and something to take home, and nobody has to be talked into joining in.

Where can we get personalised fridge magnets in Chandigarh?

We make them live at your event across Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur, with no travel charge in the Tricity. Guests are photographed at the stall, or send a picture from their phone, and collect the finished magnet the same evening.

Do you make acrylic magnets as well?

Yes. Alongside the glossy square magnet we make a clear acrylic panel printed with the same photograph. Both are made live at the counter — say which you would prefer on the enquiry and we will quote it.

When in the evening should the stall run?

The gap between the ceremony and dinner is the best slot, when guests have arrived and have nothing to do. At a sangeet anywhere in the middle works, because people drift over between dances.

How many guests will actually use the stall?

Around 60% at a wedding, which is the number worth planning against. Multiply your guest count by that, divide by the running hours, and you have the per-hour rate the stall needs to hit.

Can a magnet stall replace the return gift?

That is what most couples book it for. Nothing has to be bought in advance, stored or handed out, nothing is left over, and every guest collects their own with your names and the date already on it.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Regularly. The whole stall travels — crew, printers, press and consumables — so the venue still only needs a table, a covered spot and two sockets. Travel and a stay for the crew are quoted on the enquiry, never added afterwards.

Which cities do you cover?

No travel charge across Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur. Beyond that we work regularly across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu, Rajasthan, Delhi, Goa and Mumbai, and a separate office covers Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru.

How far in advance should we book?

A week is comfortable and 48 hours is possible in the Tricity if the date is open. Peak wedding season dates go early, so if you have a fixed date it is worth asking sooner even if nothing else is confirmed.

How many magnets can you make in an hour?

Sixty to seventy per hour, per artist, once the queue has settled. The first fifteen minutes are slower while people work out what the stall is. A four-artist booking clears a 500-guest wedding comfortably in a three-hour slot.

What does the venue need to provide?

One six-foot table, two chairs, a covered spot, and two 5A sockets within fifteen feet. Everything else — printers, camera, lighting, backdrop, consumables and signage — comes with the crew.

What does a stall cost?

It depends on three things: how many guests, how long the stall runs, and how far the venue is from Chandigarh. Send us those and you will get a firm number back, usually the same day — there is no charge that appears later on the invoice.

Do you travel outside the Tricity?

Yes — anywhere in India. Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur carry no travel charge. Up to 150 km we add a travel charge for a same-day return, beyond that one night's stay for the crew, and for anything further we quote travel and stay on the enquiry.

What happens if you run out of magnets before the event ends?

We carry a buffer above the booked count, but the honest answer is to book the right number in the first place. Tell us your real guest count and we will tell you which package covers it.

Can we book more than one stall type?

Yes, and at larger weddings it works well — magnets handle volume while a caricature artist holds a crowd. Booking two together costs less than booking them as two separate events.

Can the souvenir carry our names or company logo?

That is the default. Weddings get the couple's names and the date; corporate bookings get the company logo on the souvenir, the backdrop and the stall signage. Send a vector logo file if you have one.

Tell us your date and we will tell you what it costs

Send us the date, the city and a rough guest count. You will get a straight answer, usually the same day.
